8mm/Super 8 Reel to Digital Conversion

The conversion process converts 8mm or Super 8 movie reels to digital.  The process is a frame-by-frame digitizing for a high-quality digital output.  The 8mm or Super 8 movies will be converted into MPEG-4 (MP4) digital movie files. 

A 32 GB memory card is required in the conversion process, with the cost included in the prices below.  When conversion is complete, the memory card will be returned with your movies.  If you have more movies than space on the card or would like another memory card, an additional fee will be added for the purchase of the additional card.

Memory card/USB ports are common on computers and DVD players, but more options are available if you would like your memories in another media format.  Please see the price list below for additional format options.  For reference, 3” reels produce approximately 3 minutes of video. 

• USB flash drive, up to 16GB (larger drives additional) - $10.00.
• Additional memory card - $10.00.
• DVD - $10.00 for the first set of DVDs; $5.00 for each additional set.

Your movies will appear as separate movies on the memory card. If you would like them in chronological order, please write the number on the reel. If you would like the movies titled, please put the title(s) on the cover or create a document with the information.  The title(s) cannot exceed 15 characters.
